Take a Hike

We were in Kyoto for the whole day today so we opted to go for another hike. According to Makayla’s step counter, we did 21769 steps. The overall vertical distance was around 600 meters.

There were a ton of little hills (around ~50-100m in height) that we climbed up and down, sapping our energy. Fortunately, each little valley had a creek that we’d bridge, which was fun.

The view at the top was pretty rad, plus we saw some monkeys!

We took a tram back down the mountain, then followed a highway back to the “inner bus loop” where our day passes would be valid.

We were supposed to see birds up on this hike, but we didn’t see any! Also, Kyoto doesn’t have any posters of the Suica penguin.
