McKyoto

This morning we took a Shinkansen (bullet train!) to Kyoto. After dropping off our stuff at our hotel, we decided to branch out in “transit expertise” and take a bus or two (rather than just trains like in Tokyo).

Kyoto is a really nice city with a significantly different aesthetic than Tokyo. There’s way less skyscrapers (most buildings seem to have ~4 floors) and there’s 90% less black suits. Additionally, there’s way more tourists - probably because it’s such a neat-o city.

We hiked a hill/mountain east of Kyoto, which took roughly 1.5 hours to reach a nice high viewpoint.
