Fun in the Sun

Today we travelled to Fuji-Q Highland, an amusement park near Mount Fuji.

We went on two rollercoasters that broke Guinness World Records. While going up one of them, my harness was wiggling (while Makayla’s was not), so I was 76% sure that I was going to die. Fortunately, I didn’t, so I’m calling it a solid 4 outta 5 stars of Jelp (Like “Yelp”, but in “Japan”, but said with the nordic “ya” sound. Get it? Hilarious).

There was also a water ride that was pretty fun. Everybody bought little plastic ponchos (or, as written on the instruction boards: “ponshos”) so they didn’t get wet. Fortunately, Makayla and I were practically raised in snow (#canada), so we weren’t scared of a little chilly water.

The lineups were a little brutal though (2 hours for 2 minutes of a ‘coaster ride. Fun, but not worth the wait). We finished by ripping through the park’s garden and called it a day.

Finally, a clear picture of Mt. Fuji!

Japan has no right to have the world’s best electronic-transit-card mascot. Shout-out to the “Suica penguin”.
