Da Beach
I started the morning by visiting Yodobashi Camera to see all the fun electronics. I was hoping to find some super slick deals to consider buying here, but things were mostly more expensive than back home, weirdly enough. It’s a massive building though, with 9 floors, each of them the size of a medium-sized retail store. Crazy!
I grouped back up with Makayla and we “planned” a trip to the Onjuku beaches, but I didn’t plan trains properly.
After hopping between four different train lines and spending more than a while waiting for connections, we made it as far as Ohara (not bad, considering). The beach there was pretty rad!
We left Ohara at around 8:30pm, and it only took us an hour and a bit to get back to Tokyo (literally less than a third of the time it took us to try and get to Ohara. Good work, team).
Here’s a conspiracy:
While in Yodobashi camera, I noticed that somebody had written a message on one of the Wacom drawing tablets that are on display.
The language of that message? Swedish:
Meanwhile, in Ohara, a mural on the wall:
This character in the mural is “Moomin” from the Swedish show “Moomins”.
Is Japan just South-Sweden?
